After a successful start to the tour, “CIRCO SOLEDAD” comes to the USA!
Ricardo Arjona presented his new project Circo Soledad to sold-out crowds in the Mexican cities of Toluca, Queretaro, and Puebla. During the month of September, Arjona’s 15-date “Circo Soledad” tour through the United States will kick-off on September 7th at the Coliseum in El Paso. After his successful VIAJE tour that saw him perform for more than 2 million spectators, ARJONA returns with Circo Soledad the album, and “Circo Soledad” the tour.
Circo Soledad the album, his most recent project was released on April 21 and just a few hours later it climbed the charts to reach the number 1 slot in more than 16 countries, achieving a Gold Record in Argentina in just one day, and in one week it was number 1 on Billboard’s Latin Pop Albums Chart.
CIRCO SOLEDAD, THE PROJECT
Circo Soledad, ARJONA’s self-proclaimed best album of his life, is a journey through the sounds, lyrics, and stories. The production was handled by English producers and sound engineer Michael Brauer, who has worked with the likes of the Rolling Stones, Coldplay, John Mayer, and many others. He recorded in places like England, New York, and Nashville, as well as in Latin American countries like Guatemala and Colombia.
“I never recorded in any place with the intention of making that place the protagonist. If this production took me to many countries, producers, studios, and to some of the most important musicians in the world, it was simply out of the pure necessity of having to give that touch of color to each song that I felt was the best and most fitting for it. The Latin American musicians that had never been given an opportunity to participate in an album of these characteristics also played at that high standard.”
CIRCO SOLEDAD is, besides the name of the album, the name of a song that sums it all up. It is in this song that he makes an analogy of the circus characters and the characters of the political world, of television, and of life, leaving no one behind.
CIRCO SOLEDAD is filled with sounds that range from a symphony orchestra to distorted guitars with a power that had never been heard before, everything serving as a framework for an impeccable production where the songs are the true protagonists.
CIRCO SOLEDAD is transformed into a concept that offers a rainbow of ideas and settings that serve as the starting point for this work and to the creation of the staging, which, as always, will be a watershed in the artistic scene of Latin America and the world once it’s placed in front of his followers.
Few things are left to be said, few stories left to be told, as if a 25-year career was not enough.
CIRCO SOLEDAD will remain in time as one of the most ambitious projects in the history of Spanish-language music and will be, without a doubt, one of the most important albums by this artist.
