Joint Venture and the San Jose Sharks invite you to join us for a special town hall event with San Jose Mercury News sports columnist Mark Purdy, who has retired after 33 years with the newspaper and some 50 years in journalism.
We treasure the Bay Area's vibrant and varied professional sports community, which contributes to the well-being of our region. You won’t want to miss this rare opportunity to hear Mark's views from the inside over decades covering the 49ers, Giants, A’s, Sharks, Warriors and Earthquakes, and his most memorable events and players.
No one has covered Silicon Valley sports longer or better than Mark, so we’re going to host a fireside chat-style event September 26 at the SAP Center. Mark will participate in a revealing Q&A session about the evolution of his craft and the changes he’s seen in professional sports over his five decades on the job.
Joint Venture’s vice president for communications, Duffy Jennings, a former San Francisco Giants front office executive, will moderate the conversation starting at 4 p.m., followed by a reception and no-host bar.
