Gabriel is one of the highest grossing touring artists in the world and one of the best-selling Latin recording artists of all-time with over 100 million albums sold. His music has remained among the most popular throughout Latin America and Spain. Gabriel, a six-time Grammy nominee, was inducted into the Billboard Latin Music Hall of Fame in 1996 and has received countless industry awards, including: ASCAP Songwriter of the Year (1995), Latin Recording Academy's Person of the Year (2009), and a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

His music has recently served as inspiration to the Mexican film, "Que Le Dijiste a Dios?," which premiered January 17 to wide acclaim. The film features 14 songs from Gabriel, including hits such as "El Noa Noa," "La Farsante," "No Me Vuelvo A Enamorar," and "Pero Que Necesidad," among others.
